Initiated by Dr. DeKoninck at the beginning of this school year, a Board of Directors has been chosen and the group has been hard at work building a strong framework for the venture. In the near future we will be inviting all friends, alumni and local businesses to join us in creating a path to a brighter future for our schools, staff and students. the Foundation, which will soon be announcing upcoming events, opportunities and eventually the results of our community’s efforts. The Greenwood Education Foundation is committed to enhancing educational opportunities through
engagement and collaboration of the staff, parents, and the community to promote student excellence. In recent years, the State has lowered funding to our schools. There is no longer funding for professional development. Our goal is to provide the means for our schools and staff to create unique learning opportunities for our students.
