Fall mums are here! All 9” pots are $11, with several colors to choose from.

This fundraiser will help support updates to Village Roots Collective’s outdoor play space. 💚

Orders are open through September 24.

As Village Roots has grown, so has what we are - and we recently updated our website to better reflect the VRC of today 💚

And if you’ve ever wondered…

Wait… is this a school or a co-op?

Three weeks back at Village Roots. 💚

And somehow we’ve already packed SO much into them.

Our classrooms have been busy building community, finding their rhythms, asking big questions, creating, exploring, working on projects- and, of course, making plenty of time to play.

We’ve had our first Forest Day, our first Village Connections playdate, our first Advisory Council meeting, and so many little moments of kids finding their people and settling back into this community.

New friendships are forming. Ideas are flying. Kids are building, creating, questioning, laughing, getting messy, solving problems, and figuring things out together.

We’re only three weeks in, and VRC already feels very much alive again. 🌿💚

The countdown is officially on!

We kicked off the 2026–27 school year this week with Parent Orientation, our Parent Jobs have officially been placed, and today we’re coming together for our first Community Work (+ Play 😝) Day of the year!

Meanwhile, our teachers have been busy bringing the classrooms back to life and putting all those little details into place for our kiddos. 💚

Our first day is August 17, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back!

We’ve officially cleared most of our waitlists and currently have openings in all of our programs! 🎉

If you’ve been considering Village Roots Collective, now is a wonderful time to join our community before we begin preparing for our August 17 school start.

🌿 We currently have availability in:
• Maples (ages 3–5)
• Redwoods (ages 5–8)
• Willows (ages 8–11)
• Sycamores (ages 11–14)

From hands-on experiments and outdoor adventures to meaningful friendships, creative projects, and real-world learning, every day at VRC is designed to help children connect, explore, create, and grow. 💚

Our Sycamores students spent the week becoming inventors, engineers, and entrepreneurs- identifying real-world problems, building original prototypes, and presenting their ideas Shark Tank-style! 🦈

This is just one example of the hands-on, collaborative, and meaningful learning that happens in Sycamores.

💚 We’re honored to share that one of our founders, Whitney Rainbolt, was selected as one of five winners in a “Free to Learn 250” essay contest.

Her essay shares the story of why Village Roots Collective was created and what the freedom to learn means to our community.

At VRC, we believe children thrive when they are known, respected, given room to explore, and surrounded by a supportive village. It’s an honor to see those values recognized alongside so many thoughtful voices.
