✨ Meet the Teacher: Brady | Pre-K ✨
Brady has been part of the Adventures family for 5 years and holds a BS in Children’s Ministry. His passion for working with children started early in life, and he truly feels called to help young learners grow, discover, and thrive. 💚
One of Brady’s favorite things about Adventures is our play-based learning style and watching students learn through discovery and problem solving. His teaching style can best be described in one word: adaptable.
Something special Brady brings to the classroom is his love of learning! Whether that means learning more about his students or helping find answers to the endless questions curious minds come up with each day!
A few fun favorites:
📚 Favorite books: The Wonky Donkey & Crankenstein
🪵 Favorite activities: Mud pit play & Legos
💚 Favorite color: Green
🥨 Favorite snack: Chips & dip
☕ Favorite drinks: Coffee & Diet Coke
Outside of work, Brady enjoys gaming, camping, hiking, and cooking! 👨🍳
We are so thankful to have Brady as part of our Pre-K team & Adventures’ family!

🌈💦 MUD DAY MAGIC! 💦🌈
Today our little adventurers traded clean clothes for muddy memories, and it was worth every splash! From stomping through puddles to dancing in the sprinkler mist beneath a beautiful rainbow, our kiddos explored, discovered, and celebrated the simple joys of childhood.
Messy play isn’t just fun—it helps children develop creativity, sensory awareness, problem-solving skills, and confidence. Most importantly, it gives them the freedom to be kids!
We may have sent home a little extra mud today, but we also sent home a lot of smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories. ❤️

Through play, children explore new ideas, solve problems, build friendships, practice communication, and develop confidence in their abilities. Whether they are creating with blocks, engaging in imaginative play, exploring nature, or working together on a project, they are developing the skills that will support lifelong learning.

Today was a very special day at Adventures as we celebrated our Pre-K Graduation! 🎓❤️
We could not be more proud of each and every one of our kiddos. Watching how much they have grown from the beginning of the year to now has been truly incredible. They are leaving our program confident, independent, excited to learn, and ready to build new friendships and memories in kindergarten.
A huge part of that success comes from the love, dedication, and passion of our amazing teachers, Mr. Brady and Mrs. Brandi. Every single day they pour their hearts and energy into their classroom. They do so much more than teach letters and numbers — they build meaningful relationships with each child, create dynamic and engaging lesson plans, and give children memories filled with fun, friendship, laughter, and love. Their classroom is a place where children feel safe, celebrated, and inspired to grow.
As we send our graduates off to kindergarten, we do so with full confidence that they are ready for this next adventure. While it is bittersweet to watch them go, it also fills us with so much joy to know we were part of their early childhood journey.
Our greatest hope is that these children will always remember their time at Adventures fondly — and maybe someday come back to visit us, work alongside us, or even bring their own children here one day. In our 30 years, we have had the privilege of experiencing all of those beautiful full-circle moments, and they never stop meaning the world to us.
Congratulations to our Pre-K Graduates! We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see all the amazing things you will accomplish. 💙✨

Join us in celebrating World Culture & Diversity Day on May 21st! 🌎❤️
We are looking for parents and family members who would like to stop by the classroom to share something special about their culture with our students. This could include:
Reading a favorite story
Sharing music or dancing
Bringing a special snack
Teaching a simple craft or tradition
Sharing photos, clothing, language, or family traditions
If you are not comfortable leading an activity yourself, that’s okay too! Families are also welcome to simply share ideas, traditions, books, music, recipes, or information with their child’s teacher so we can help incorporate it into the classroom throughout the day.
Together, we can help our children learn about, celebrate, and appreciate the many cultures that make our community so special! 🌍✨

Messy play is so much more than just making a mess, it’s learning in its purest form. 🎨🫧🌱
When children dig in the dirt, splash in water, paint with their hands, mix colors, or explore different textures, they are building critical skills that support healthy development.
Messy play helps children:
✨ Strengthen fine motor skills
✨ Build creativity and imagination
✨ Develop problem-solving skills
✨ Explore cause and effect
✨ Support sensory development
✨ Build confidence and independence
✨ Encourage language and social interaction
Most importantly, messy play allows children to fully experience childhood through hands-on exploration and discovery. Some of the best learning moments happen when children are free to explore, experiment, and yes… get a little messy!
At Adventures, we believe childhood should be filled with opportunities to play, explore, create, and learn, even if it means extra laundry at the end of the day. 💚
So this is your friendly reminder:
Dirty clothes usually mean learning happened.

Helping children learn impulse control takes practice, patience, and lots of play! 💛 Young children are still developing the part of the brain responsible for self-control and decision-making, so teaching these skills through fun activities can make a huge difference. Games, routines, positive reinforcement, and modeling calm behavior are all powerful tools for families.
Here are some easy ways to build impulse control at home by age group:
👶 Toddlers (1–3 years)
Keep activities short, playful, and movement-based!
• Freeze Dance — stop and freeze when the music stops
• Red Light, Green Light
• Practice taking turns rolling a ball back and forth
• Use simple breathing games like “smell the flower, blow out the candle”
• Narrate emotions: “You’re feeling frustrated. Let’s take a deep breath.”
🧩 Preschoolers (3–5 years)
Preschoolers love games that teach waiting, listening, and self-regulation.
• Simon Says
• Musical Chairs
• Waiting challenges (“Can you wait 10 seconds before opening your snack?”)
• Role-play problem solving with puppets or stuffed animals
• Create calm-down spaces with sensory tools, books, or fidgets
🎒 School-Age Children (6+)
Older children benefit from practicing thinking before reacting.
• Board games that require strategy and patience
• Mindfulness or yoga activities
• Journaling feelings before responding
• “Stop-Think-Choose” problem-solving games
• Encourage goal setting and celebrating small successes
Remember — impulse control is learned over time, not overnight. Consistency, encouragement, and connection matter more than perfection. ❤️
