Today we served over 150 individuals/families with Pantry Food Boxes today. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers and staff for always making it happen. A special thank you to all of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity for helping with the loading of boxes. The Distinguished Beta Rho Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Yesterday, the Greenwood Community Center was filled with great conversation, valuable resources, and wonderful fellowship during our Senior Citizens, Let’s Talk event!

Our seniors received much-needed information on their voting rights, health insurance, life insurance, wills and estate planning, Medicare fraud prevention, community resources, and more. We were also pleased to provide food boxes to those in attendance.

A special thank you to Robert Beasley for doing an excellent job facilitating the event and keeping the conversation informative and engaging. We also sincerely thank each organization and representative who joined us to share valuable information and answer questions for our seniors.

Events like this remind us how important it is to make sure our senior citizens are informed, connected, supported, and heard. 💛

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the afternoon meaningful!

Today we had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Tomeka Harbin, Executive Director Delta Fresh Foods, to discuss an exciting new partnership that will expand access to healthy food in our community.

Through this collaboration, Greenwood Community Center looks forward to offering fresh produce alongside our food pantry services, helping families gain greater access to nutritious foods.

We are grateful for this new partnership and excited to work together to address food insecurity and improve the health and well-being of our community. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

Today, families were blessed with free clothing, household items, and delicious fried fish. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers and to everyone who has donated clothes and other items throughout the year. Your generosity makes events like this possible.
