We usually do a cup of rice, cup of chicken, and a cup of orange stuff (sweet potato, carrots, pumpkin puree). Sometimes we mix in other veggies or swap out chicken for pork or beef.

This is our first edition of what we are calling "Open Mat", where we chat with no real agenda and see where the conversation goes.

We talked about Jonah Hill’s recent comments about Jiu-Jitsu and whether training actually means you can beat up the average person. From there, we talk about people refusing to tap, some brutal armbars, and a few of the craziest students and visitors we’ve encountered over the years.

We also talk about the upcoming IBJJA expansion, Ryan’s struggles training at a new gym, and addressing weaknesses to get better. Finally, we get into AI, how it’s changing graphic design and marketing, and whether we’re eventually going to see AI-powered Jiu-Jitsu coaches.
