Great conversations and career insights in Anatomy and Physiology this week!

A big thank you to Dr. Ruth, a pediatric physical therapist, for virtually visiting our anatomy class and spending time answering thoughtful questions from our students. He generously shared his journey through school, along with the challenges, rewards, and excitement that come with working in pediatric physical therapy. Hearing firsthand experiences helps students better understand the path from classroom learning to professional practice.

We also appreciate the opportunity that virtual connections provide. Being able to connect with professionals from different locations allows our students to expand their networks, explore career paths, and learn from experts they might not otherwise have the chance to meet. Thank you again for inspiring the next generation of health professionals! 🌟

Today in Anatomy & Physiology, learning came off the page and into our hands 💀🦴

Students worked directly with skeleton models and bones to explore skeletal anatomy—identifying structures, making connections, and asking great questions along the way. This kind of hands-on learning transforms memorization into understanding.

The most effective learning doesn’t just happen by listening or reading—it happens by doing. When students can see, touch, and engage, concepts stick, confidence grows, and curiosity leads the way.

A great reminder that active learning makes anatomy come alive.

We were thrilled to welcome Yoga Instructor Kim as a guest lecturer in Anatomy & Physiology today! 🧘‍♀️✨

Kim shared her personal and professional journey, emphasizing that professional development doesn’t begin at the end of a career—it happens at every stage. From early exploration to ongoing growth, she highlighted how curiosity, continued learning, and reflection shape both competence and confidence over time.

By demonstrating how she actively uses anatomy in her career, Kim helped students see that what they are learning now is foundational and transferable. She also took time to thoughtfully answer student questions, modeling mentorship, openness, and lifelong learning.
