What You Can Do to Help Your Child Get to School Every Day. . .

🏠 Set a regular bedtime and morning routine to help make mornings easier.

🎒 Lay out clothes and pack backpacks the night before so your child is ready to go.

❤️ Keep your child healthy and attending regular well visits.

🚗 Develop a backup plan for getting to school in case something unexpected comes up.

📅 Monitor your child’s absences and stay aware of how often they are missing school.

🩺 Try to schedule nonurgent medical appointments and extended trips when school is not in session whenever possible.

We love Ms. Kelly! ❤️

🌟 Please join us in welcoming Taylor Kelly to Rice Elementary and the Greenwood School District 50 family! Taylor earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Lander University. Before joining District 50, Taylor worked at GLEAMNS Head Start of Greenwood.

When asked what excites her most about the upcoming school year, Taylor shared that she is most excited to get to know her students and watch them grow and reach their goals alongside her. She looks forward to learning about their passions and the new skills they want to continue exploring beyond their time in the classroom. We are excited to have Taylor as part of our team and can’t wait to see the impact she will make on our students!
