A NATURE MYSTERY 🤔

Did you know that PINECONES open and close in water as a SURVIVAL strategy? When they absorb moisture, the scales on the cone expand, causing it to close. This protects the SEEDS from rain and excess moisture, ensuring their survival until it's time to grow. As the pinecone dries, it reopens, releasing the seeds.

Just as the pace of pinecones' response to water varies, children's GROWTH and LEARNING follow their unique rhythms. Patience and observation, values instilled through this exploration, are essential for both pinecones and young children.
