Mason Voit, Director of the Temple Sholom Learning Center, joined our classes in the Sukkah during religious school yesterday to share more about the holiday of Sukkot and explain the significance of the lulav and etrog. Students learned how to properly wave them together in the six directions, symbolizing the blessings that surround us and our gratitude for the natural world.

Our 2025–2026 school year at TSLC culminated on May 17 with a festive, school-wide celebration of Shavuot. Our religious school classes learned about the receiving of the Torah and participated in a special ice cream party, honoring the tradition of eating dairy during the holiday to symbolize the nourishment needed for spiritual and moral growth.

Students were also asked to bring fresh fruits or vegetables to donate to our local food pantry, Neighbor to Neighbor, as a reminder of God’s generosity and the importance of fostering social justice for those in need.

Thank you for a wonderful year filled with great memories, meaningful connections and a love for Judaism!
