I donated some music lessons to the art auction at Lily's school. I assumed someone would get piano lessons for their kid. But a Mom bought them and is taking voice lessons for herself. She lives around the corner from me and we're meeting in a few minutes.
Basically, this is like Christmas for me :)

Just finished first lesson of the New Year! Up this weekend: more lessons, a super-secret rehearsal (not ready to announce the project yet...) and hanging out at the Greenwich YMCA tomorrow. I'll be there from 11:30 to 1:00 to answer questions about lessons- come see me!
Last week I started a new group of kids for choir. And one of them asked me a question. And it occurred to me I have been asked this question at the beginning of each new choir session since forever.
For 100 points- what was the question?
What a great night at the Duplex. That much talent in one room inspires me to throw down a pencil and grab a pen.
Headed back to school in a few weeks! So excited for Choir and Intro to Performing Arts at Winston Prep! I'm working on my schedule for private lessons- I'll be teaching on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The schedule is tight, so contact me ASAP!
Just finished an amazing run of Oliver! with the kids at Winston-Prep. So glad I still teach choir there, I'd be awfully sad if I thought this was goodbye. On to Grease at Salesian High School, and building my studio in Greenwich. Having a great time with my new piano students!
John Bucchino is absolutely my favorite composer in the world. And now I get to sing with him. So excited.
Did you resolve to do something for yourself this year? Voice lessons are a great way to start!

Narrating a film screening at the Pelham Picture House in January. French kids' film with subtitles, so I'm reading the subtitles live (since the kiddos don't read.) Got my copy of the film in the mail yesterday. How cool is this gig?!
