Today, our second graders transformed the corral into a Poetry Café, where they proudly shared their work with parents, teachers, and classmates.

Throughout their poetry unit, students explored eight different types of poems and created a collection of their own, compiled into a special "Book of Poetry."

At the "café", each student selected a favorite poem to read aloud, showcasing their creativity and hard work. After the readings, families enjoyed time together over a morning snack and celebrated all that our young poets have accomplished.

We are so proud of our talented second graders!

Yesterday, Miss Ball stepped into the role of Lower School Principal alongside Mr. Mascola, and she was ready for the challenge!

From greeting students during morning walk-throughs and visiting classrooms to reading The Invisible String to our second graders and delivering the afternoon announcements, Principal Ball embraced every part of the job with confidence, enthusiasm, and a smile. She even used her principal powers to officially declare Monday, June 15, a "Light It Up" dress down day! 🎉

We loved watching her leadership skills shine as she explored what it takes to help our school thrive. Thank you, Principal Ball, for an outstanding day of leadership!

It was a busy day at GCS—and thankfully Ms. Steck had some outstanding help! 🙌

Principals for the Day Gregory and Harrison Kreisberg, along with Vice Principals Jacob and Jack, took their leadership roles seriously as they toured campus, attended meetings, assisted with announcements, and helped keep the school running smoothly.

Their first official decree? 📣 Tomorrow is an Orange & Blue Dress Down Day to cheer on the NY Knicks! 🏀🧡💙

The day also included the first "Meet Me in the Middle" ceremony, a beautiful new GCS tradition that brought together our youngest and oldest students. Kindergarteners and graduating 8th graders exchanged handwritten notes and cards filled with encouragement, gratitude, and well wishes. Watching our students connect in such a meaningful way was a beautiful reminder of the special bonds that make Greenwich Catholic School such a close-knit community.

From student leadership to moments of kindness and connection, today was a wonderful example of what makes GCS so special.
