During Middle School Experiential Week, students had the opportunity to learn from Pop Artist Michael Albert during a hands-on collage workshop.
Using recycled cereal boxes as their canvas, students explored Albert’s signature “Cerealism” style and transformed everyday packaging into colorful works of art. Along the way, they examined concepts related to Pop Art, branding, visual communication, and sustainability.
The workshop also incorporated mathematical thinking as students experimented with shape, pattern, balance, and composition. By the end of the session, they had discovered creative possibilities in materials that might otherwise be discarded.
A special thank you to Michael Albert for sharing his creativity, expertise, and artistic process with our students.
