Thank you Dolly Parton for all the wonderful things you have done for the world. Felix E. Martin Jr. Foundation partnered with Muhlenberg County Public Library to start Imagination Library in 2011 in Muhlenberg County. Dolly’s generosity pays for 50% of the program. We are so sad to hear of her passing but will always remember her legacy. Thank you, Dolly for sharing your love of children and reading.

Every 2 years, Owensboro Health conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment. It's important that each citizen's voice is heard.

The health department and other organizations partner with them and use this information to apply grant funding to address as many needs as possible in our county.

⭐️Quick Participation: It only takes a few
minutes of your time.

⭐️Completely Anonymous: Your responses are
confidential.

⭐️Third-Party Analysis: Once someone
completes the survey the results
automatically go to Blueprint Kentucky at
the University of Kentucky.

Participation has been low in the past, but the information collected is vital to Owensboro Health and the community partners.

SOAR would like to congratulate CFL's new President & CEO, Tawanda Owsley. We are excited to get to meet you and share our mission.

The Felix Martin Foundation is a proud supporting organization of the Community Foundation of Louisville (CFL). We were thrilled to be able to meet CFL's new President & CEO, Tawanda Owsley, during yesterday's press conference in Louisville.

According to CFL's press release, Tawanda joins CFL from "Hosparus Health and has led multidisciplinary teams, strengthened brand strategy and strategic messaging, advanced fundraising initiatives, and built meaningful relationships with donors, board members, community leaders, and other key stakeholders. Her nearly 25 years of leadership as a nonprofit executive span a background of philanthropy, marketing, communications, community engagement, and organizational growth."

Not unlike others we converse with from across the region - when we mentioned Muhlenberg County - Tawanda was already familiar and noted a few folks she had worked with in the county in years past. We look forward to working with and learning from Tawanda, and having her visit Muhlenberg again, soon!

SOAR would like to say best first year of college to our summer intern, Honey Patel. Honey will start classes at MSU on Tuesday. We are proud of all of her accomplishments and wish her the very best! Thanks for a great summer.
