Greenville JR High BETA

Today was a good day for JR High BETA

Jasper Costephens finish in the top 20 in 7th grade ELA in the Nation.

Aubree Knuckles finished in the top 20 in 8th grade PE and Science in the nation.

They both will go to Nashville for National BETA to see we’re they finish in the Nation. They have one more test to take at Nationals.

Kelsey Womble also will be there competing in Black and white photography as well.

What a first year for me as the BETA sponsor.

BETA team with FCS today for our end of the year field trip to Old Greenville. All the kids seem to have a blast.

Peyton 7th grade spelling 2nd place
Carter Ridings 7th grade Science 5th place
Aubree Knuckles 8th grade Health/PE 5th place
Jasper Costephens 7th grade ELA tied for 2nd
Kelsey Womble Jr beta Black/White photography finished in 4th place.

Scavenger hunt team finish 2nd out of 50 schools.

Really proud of all the kids that competed this week. Every project was very good.

It was a good week to be a bear.

Today I presented the Saint Francis hospital NICU unit with the items that were donated by Greenville JR High. Over 300 items were donated to the Hospitals. Greenville JR BETA was proud to partner with Saint Francis Hospital foundation.

BETA Jr High Red Ribbon assembly

We started off by introducing our BETA officers that set up the  assembly.

Then we had our BETA President Marley Club and Public Relations Director Kelsey Womble give a speech on what Red Ribbon week means.

Then the student competed in games.

First game was Head, Knees, toes, cup

8th grader Avery Moody had the quickest hands and won

The 7th grade then took on the teachers. The 7th came up short loosing 11-9

8th grade would show would win the leapfrog race.

7th  grade would come back and win in the Dizzy race

The eighth grade team of Averi Moody, and Addy McAllister would win in the pony race.

Last the 8th grade would loose a tough one to the teachers 12-6 in 3 on 3.

Very proud of the BETA officers and Rosa Perkins who organized and set everything up for the assembly today.
