Our scholars were all smiles as they enjoyed yesterday’s warmer weather! Moments like these build community and remind us to take time to breathe.

As we wrap up the 2025–2026 basketball season, we want to thank each of our seniors. Your leadership on and off the court has been truly inspiring. We wish you all the best as you begin new journeys and step into the next season of your lives.

Junior Marshals are scholars who are held in high regard for their scholastic achievements and how they represent Legacy.

Congratulation to the Salutatorian and Valedictorian of the Class of 2026! They set the bar high and had the courage to clear it.

Today wasn’t just about certificates and accolades, we celebrated PRIDE.

Perseverance when the work got tough. Respect for teachers, other scholars, and the process. Integrity that showed up in both academics and in character. Discipline to stay consistent even when no one was watching. Excellence as the standard and not the exception.

This is what success looks like. This, is our future!

To the Families of our Scholars,

Starting January 25th, our school will be administering the Measurable Results Assessment (MRA), a survey and reporting system designed to provide insights into the progress of our school. In order to provide a holistic picture of what is going on in our school, the MRA includes three different surveys; 1) one completed by all school staff, 2) one completed by students in grades 4 and above, and 3) one completed by the families of students in all grades.

We hope you will participate so we can use the feedback to make our school an even better place for students and families. Our goal is to have 100 families complete the survey and the grade level with the most surveys completed will receive an award from the school.

FAMILY SURVEY
WHAT: Online survey completed by one member of each household.
● Survey typically takes about 5 minutes to complete
● Questions relate to the experiences you and your child have at our school.
● Answers are anonymous--to encourage people to be honest and open, no names and other identifying information will be collected.

WHEN: The survey is now available for you to take through February 1st.

Update: Due to current snow and ice conditions and forecasted freezing temperatures that may continue to create unsafe road conditions, Legacy Early College will utilize two snow days from our academic calendar on Monday, February 2, and Tuesday, February 3. These will not be e-learning days.

All school buildings and office locations will be closed, and all on-campus activities, including field trips, athletic events, and after-school programs, are canceled for both days.

Updates regarding Wednesday’s schedule will be released Tuesday afternoon.

This month, we celebrate the legacy and contributions of Black Americans in this country. We honor the past, recognize the present, and look forward to the future.
