SCHS Envirothon & Environmental Science Club

SCHS Envirothon shared their project on getting started with composting on Sunday at Green Roof Barn. The Composting Crazies were excited to teach the public the benefits of composting and to give away a few plants!

Thank you to all who supported the Envirothon Food Drive this year. All items collected will be used to restock the SCHS Food Pantry and benefit students right here at South Central.

This year's top 3 collectors were:
Envirothon Club - 249 items
Williams Class - 171 items
National Honor Society - 114 tems.

The winning class of the food drive received donuts on Friday as a token of our appreciation. Envirothon has elected not to be included in counts for winning, therefore - this year's winning class is Ms. Willams!

THANK YOU! Today we collected more than 370 items to restock the food pantry! The Envirothon Food Drive runs until December 15 and benefits students at our school. Thank you for your support in meeting the needs of our students. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

Envirothon is hosting a food drive from November 1 - December 13. The 4th period class with the most goods will receive a prize before we get out for Winter Break. The food pantry could use ready to eat items for during the day in addition to canned goods. Things like bars, chips, pop top macaroni or spaghetti/ravioli are always great. Anything that can be eaten on the go! Drop goods off to your participating 4th period teacher or to room 406!
