Join us in celebrating National Aviation Day! Established by former President FDR in 1939, the day marks the birth of Orville Wright - the pioneer of modern flight. We have come a long way since Kittyhawk in 1903! Common celebrations include visting air and space museums, visiting your local airport - we think Greenville Downtown Airport (GMU) in South Carolina is the best one to visit - or by taking a discovery flight! We wish everyone the most inspired National Aviation Day, from the entire team at Stratos Aviation GMU and CAE.

A belated congratulations to Aidan Plizga for earning his CFI certificate!

Last month Aidan successfully passed his Flight Instructor checkride with examiner RLH at Monroe Executive Airport outside of Charlotte.

Becoming a flight instructor is an incredible accomplishment and a significant step in any pilot’s journey. This achievement is a testament to Aidan’s dedication, hard work, and commitment to becoming an outstanding aviation professional.

We’re extremely proud to have Aidan as part of the Stratos Aviation team and look forward to watching him share his knowledge, passion, and experience while helping develop the next generation of pilots.

From the moment the engine starts to the incredible views from above, a Cirrus Intro Flight is more than just a ride—it's an opportunity to take the controls, experience modern aviation firsthand, and discover the thrill of flying.

A special thank you to Sarah Daniels for choosing Stratos Aviation to gift this unforgettable Cirrus Intro Flight to an amazing teacher from Robert Anderson Middle School. What a thoughtful way to recognize someone who makes a difference in the lives of their students every day. We were honored to be a part of such a meaningful gift and hope it created memories that will last a lifetime.
