North Independent School District (ISD) is thrilled to announce that all students enrolled in North ISD schools will receive free lunches for the entire 2025-2026 school year. This exciting initiative aims to ensure every student has access to nutritious meals, supporting their academic success and overall well-being.
"We are incredibly excited to provide free lunches to all our students in the upcoming school year," said Dr. Latrice D. Love, Superintendent of Schools. "We believe that access to healthy food is fundamental to learning. This program will remove a significant barrier for many families, allowing students to focus on their studies without the worry of food insecurity."
This program is made possible through various funding opportunities the district has secured. North ISD is committed to providing high-quality, balanced meals that meet nutritional guidelines and cater to diverse student needs.
Families will not need to complete any applications for the free lunch program. All enrolled students will automatically be eligible. More detailed information regarding meal service, including menus and any specific dietary accommodation procedures, will be shared with families closer to the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
