2026 JLM Open House this Thursday at 6:00pm!

JL Mann High School presents FRESHMAN 101! Thursday, August 20th, 5:30pm, JL Mann Auditorium. This is right before Open House at 6:00pm.

🌸The Hometown Girl Mobile Boutique will be on the JL Mann campus from 11:00-2:00pm on Friday, August 21st. We invite all JL Mann community supporters and staff members to check out this wonderful small business with an array of fashionable clothing items and accessories!🌸

Highlights @ MANN: Friday was the first day of physical fitness for JROTC students. The goal is to teach students the importance of fitness and healthy eating, so they can grow into productive citizens.

Mitchell Road Elementary Extended Day Program

The PSAT will be given at J. L. Mann High School on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. This test is open to 10th and 11th Graders. The cost to take the PSAT is:
- 10th Graders enrolled at Mann are free
- 10th Graders Away Students (not enrolled at Mann but live in our attendance area): $16.00
- 11th Graders (both enrolled and Away): $14.00
If you wish to take the PSAT you must sign up one of two ways: you can access a sign-up form on the school website or you can come to the front office to complete a paper form. Sign-up forms will be available August 11th through August 24th. Fees may be paid through SchoolCash Online or by bringing exact change to the front office. The deadline to sign up is 3:30 p.m. on August 24th and the deadline to pay fees is 2:00 p.m. on August 24th. Please contact Dr. Alsip at [email protected] with any questions.

The 2026 Lowcountry Service Academy Day will be held on Saturday, September 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Citadel’s Bastin Hall. Flyer attached above.
This event is an excellent opportunity for students and their families to learn more about the U.S. service academies and ask questions prior to application deadlines. We also welcome teachers and counselors to attend and learn more about the application process.
A service academy education provides students with a four-year college degree, extensive professional and leadership development, and a pathway to serve our country as a commissioned officer. The value of a service academy appointment can be equivalent to a $350,000–$450,000 scholarship.
We would greatly appreciate your help sharing this opportunity with students and families in your community who may be interested in pursuing an education and career through one of our nation’s service academies.
