August Breakfast and Lunch Menus are up on our website! The first day of school we are serving chicken strips.

Lunch/Breakfast | Flat River Academy Flat River Academy will be implementing a new option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for School Year 2023-2024.

The First Day of School is Monday, August 21st 8:00-3:00! It was so wonderful to see so many smiling faces at Open House! We can't wait to see everyone on Monday!

Thanks Superior Property Washing LLC. for staining our playground and making it look brand new! Now to add the new mulch!

School Supply lists for 2023-2024!

Today was Slime-tastic! If you want our recipe it was: 1/2 cup glue, a few drops of food coloring, about 2 cups of shaving cream, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, and 1 tbsp of saline solution.

I wanted to give a big thank you to the parent volunteers helping out this summer. They have been tackling the huge project of reorganizing and cataloging our library along with other tasks! This week we also had our 2 new deck boxes and shelving cart put together by a parent as well. Thank you so much!

Thanks for joining us for Fingerprint Magnets today! We made almost 100 magnets! So much fun!

2 FREE, FUN events have been added. This is open to all children in the community with their adult. Join us for the fun! Stay tuned for more Wednesday FUNdays. Click on the event and let us know your interested. No registration is required for these 2 events.

Our 23-24 new Calendar has been released! Please take note of some important updates: School will dismiss at 1:00 on Fridays! Full week off of school for Thanksgiving. Improved Winter Break schedule so that we are not starting and ending break in the middle of the week. This calendar was made after input was gathered from a survey released last month. Thank you for your help!

Do you have a few hours to spare this summer and want to help the school? Flat River Academy is moving into the 21st century! We've purchased library catalog software. We need volunteers to help scan and put labels on our books! No experience necessary. We'll show you exactly what to! Commit to as much or as little time as you want. Open times to help are 9:00-3:00 Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning Thursday 6/22. The school will be closed the week of July. Thank you for your help in making Flat River Academy a better place!

We have space in some of our summer enrichment programs! If you have a child enrolled at Flat River Academy for Fall 2023 and are interested in a program, please give us a call!

Summer Enrichment (including D&D and many others!) begins next week and is open to students enrolled at Flat River Academy for the Fall (or recently graduated 8th graders!). Call if you are interested in signing up for one of our programs!

Our 4th/5th grade Robotics team presented to our 3rd graders. They did am amazing job!

Cuteness overload when 1st graders were working on their cook book recipes!

8th graders are excited about their end of year trip. They've been fundraising for a few months. Today they bagged popcorn and snacks for all of our students!

6th graders raised money for the animal shelter as part of a project they completed. Today they visited the shelter with their donation.

It's Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! We all know that teachers and school staff work hard to support students and families! Take a moment to reach out to your child's teacher or a staff member that has made a difference. Mailboxes will be set up on a bulletin board at the school if you would like to drop off a kind letter. A small note of encouragement makes a big impact.
