Eastern Elementary School Eastern Elementary School is the home of the EAGLES! We serve students in kindergarten through 5th grades. We currently have well over 800 students!!!

Help us cut down on morning tardies and keep traffic moving smoothly and safely!
4 Step Morning Routine
1- 💺 Seat belts off- unbuckle before the car comes to a complete stop
2- 🎒 Backpacks ON- Put backpacks on shoulders while still seated
3-🚶 Self-Exit- if able, students should open their own car door.
4- 🚘 Keep moving- Pull all the way forward and proceed once unloaded

Important Update Starting Next Week:
⏰ If the tardy bell rings while you are still in the line, you will be required to drive around to the front office to sign your child in. Staff on duty need to get in and begin instruction for the day.

Happy Sunday and Week 2 Eagle Families! This is your Sunday reminders for the coming week 8/31-9/4:

- 🚌 This week should be better with transportation- if you have any concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
-📄 Please work to get all updated information to us- I know all the forms in the folder feels like you had homework but we need all the information to keep your child safe at school
- 🚶🏾‍♀️This week we ask that all students walk themselves to class. We have staff strategically located throughout the school to help all students get to class. We have backpack tags on each student to help us identify them and know where they need to be taken. Students being independent is a good things and helps them feel safe and gain confidence. Thank you for understanding.
- 📖 This week we will begin completing beginning of year assessments to see where your child is currently working so we can begin with strategic planning and teaching for what they need.
- ⏰ Please help us in reducing the amount of tardies and early check outs at Eastern. Reducing these will INCREASE instructional minutes and benefit our students. Last year we had over 6,800 tardies and 2,500 early check outs!!! This is lost learning!
First thing and last things of the day is our WIN time- What I Need- and is either remediating or enriching learning for your child. I ask that you please work with us on this- if you have a work conflict, medical appointments, or something else- let's talk and come up with a solution together.

Eagle Families- we had an amazing week and are exhausted after adjusting to new routines, being back on schedule, making new friends, learning new lunch numbers, bus numbers and having fun while learning ! Rest up this weekend and we will be ready to rock and roll week 2 on Monday 💚🦅💚 Thank you for your patience with longer pick up and drop off lines, getting buses straight and working as a team to help your child feel seen, safe and loved in their new classrooms ! Please do not hesitate if there are questions or concerns to reach out and allow us the opportunity to resolve it, answer it or work as a team on it !
