Our Sixth Grade Academy provides a year of intentional transformation for each student. Designed as a supportive school within a school, the program bridges the gap between the comforts of elementary school and the expectations of middle school.
Through a strong foundation of support, students develop the skills they need to thrive in the remaining years of middle school and high school at Saint Joseph's, and beyond!

The transition from the comforts of elementary school to the high expectations of middle school is a big step. That’s why Saint Joseph’s Sixth Grade Academy is intentionally designed as a "school within a school"—a supportive, nurturing environment built specifically to bridge that gap.
In our latest blog post, Sixth Grade Theology Teacher Frank Kucinic shares how he uses Socratic Seminars to elevate classroom dialogue. From learning public speaking fundamentals to analyzing complex texts with charity and grace, our sixth graders are building a strong foundation for future academic success.
By treating our students with high-level respect, we watch them rise to the challenge every single day.

At Saint Joseph's, our Sixth Grade Academy provides a unique developmental advantage. Single-gender core classes help boost confidence and focus by reducing social pressure and tailoring instructions to students.
This proven approach continues through 7th and 8th grade, creating a consistent foundation for growth during their most formative years.

Throughout this school year, we were delighted to welcome several alumni and alumni parents back to campus for visits, presentations, and special events. Seeing familiar faces in our halls is always a meaningful reminder that the connections formed here last long after graduation.
To all of our alumni and alumni parents, we hope Saint Joseph's has always felt like a second home and that it remains a place where you know you are always welcome. Once a Knight, always a Knight! 💙
