“Hey everyone! My name is Achol Atem and I’m so excited to be the new VP of Social Standards. I look forward to working alongside all the other amazing women from other chapters and to continue to maintain a safe, supportive, and awesome environment!”

Speaking of MayX, let’s hear from one of our world travelers about her time on the Rhine!!!
Alison is a junior in ZTA who is loving her abroad experience 🩷
“I am on The Rhine: Life on the Line May X! Throughout this course, we have been studying the effects of World War II along the Rhine River border of France, Germany, and Switzerland. So far, we have been to Mainz and Heidelberg, Germany and Strasbourg, France as well as many other cities during day trips. We have learned about the Alsace region and the struggle between France and Germany to claim it as their territory for decades. This has created a unique cultural identity for the people of this region that we have seen throughout local interactions, food/dining, architecture, and more! I am so excited for the final part of our trip where we will visit the Black Forest and Basel, Switzerland before returning to the Sates. I am so grateful for this experience and have loved getting to know everyone experiencing it with me! ”

From Greenville to Prague goes far! This May so many amazing girls of our community have explored new places around the world!

“I am so excited to serve on Panhellenic because this community can have such an outstanding impact on people’s college experience. The Panhellenic friendships I have are some of my most treasured and I love to help bring people together! I also am excited to serve as an advocate for our community and work alongside the chapter presidents! I have loved working with everyone on Panhel exec and I am excited to continue working with and supporting everyone!”

I remember meeting you during fall orientation, and even though you were somehow in the wrong group, I knew we were going to be friends. Ever since our first time eating lunch during the first day of orientation, you have been my best friend, and I wouldn’t change that for the world. Every time I’m upset with myself or the world, I know one conversation with you will have me laughing and forgetting what was bothering me in the first place. I sometimes can’t imagine my life without you in it, and it feels to me that we’ve been friends since the beginning of time. You are such a beautiful person inside and out, and I look up to you in so many ways, including the way you make everyone laugh and hold yourself so high. We are graduating soon, and it is going to be so incredibly hard, but no matter the distance between us, I know you will always be my best friend forever!
