Good afternoon, CME Community:

Welcome to the 4th week of the school year. At this point of the year, routines have been taught and students have begun to advance through the curriculum.

Grades are an important formative assessment that report standards mastery as well as a student's academic skills while they maintain the appropriate learning pace. We encourage parents and guardians to check the Infinite Campus Portal often to determine current grades and to identify individual assignment scores, including any missing assignments. Check out this week's Bulldog News to get information on how to access the Infinite Campus portal along with other important information, news, and highlights.

Of course, one of the most important factors in determining student success is to ensure that students are attending school every day to every class, on time, ready to learn. We will be monitoring student attendance and communicating with families if students have excessive absences.

Thursday, Sept 17th - Football vs. Contentenea-Savannah 4pm @ JH Rose HS

Friday, Sept 18th - AVID Day for Staff/Students

Good afternoon CM Eppes community:

Check out this week's newsletter for important information, messages, news, and event reminders.

During the month of September, schools across the country are bringing attention to the importance of students attending school every class, every day, ready to learn. In Pitt County Schools, our motto is "Every Day Counts." Our school-wide goal throughout the year is to maintain an average daily attendance rate of 95% or higher. To help achieve this goal, we will be providing incentive opportunities and competitions to promote good student attendance.

Please refer to important attendance policy reminders in this week's newsletter to ensure students are maintaining good attendance. One of those reminders is that we only allow handwritten notes for up to five excused absences. After that, appropriate documentation such as a doctor's note will be required.

We know that with the support of family and community, our students will rise to our attendance challenge and SHINE.
