DECA Day 6: end to the Florida adventure, walked into the airport around 3am to get on our 6am plane. Tru passes out not in the plane but in our terminal (she is ok). Oh and Hudson successfully delivered a cookie from Disney to his mom.

DECA day 5, awards are given out and our own Christian Rasmussen was a finalist for business growth plan.

DECA day 4 having both competition and fun, getting to spend the morning competing in DECA competitions and spending the night exploring Universal Studio.

What a great 2023 DECA State Career Development conference in Detroit. I was lucky to take the best students and the best chaperone! Ten Greenville students will be heading to Orlando for Internationals!!! Congrats to all of the state competitors, finalists and champions🔹🔶🔹

Several GHS DECA members attended the DU Shark Tank competition on October 26th along with several other local schools. Congrats to the Zucker Burgers who took 3rd place out of 12 teams!

On November 5th GHS DECA hosted the annual Guys Volley Tuff tournament raising money for DECA competitors travel and charity. 9 teams participated and it was a ton of fun! Congrats to the winning team, “Wait, This Isn’t Basketball!” Can you guess who made up this team? Tons of props to all those who played their hearts out and to all the volunteers who made it happen! Thanks for the support GHS!

On December 1st, GHS DECA and the GHS Food and Nutrition Department partnered in hosting the 15th annual GHS Holiday Luncheon! This has been a wonderful tradition dating back to 2007 when John Gates, then principal, and Mary England had the great idea to treat our students and staff to a free Thanksgiving meal bringing our school family together. The tradition continues today!

Day 2 of the DECA State Leadership Conference at MSU Broad College of Business! We got a visit from Sparty and Key Note Speaker, Tom Izzo (with Joshua Langford) gave a great presentation on Leadership! Sessions by business partners, and DECA sessions! Thanks to mideca and MSU💚🤍

Day 1 of the DECA State Leadership Conference at MSU! Lunch, MSU Dairy, visiting with awesome GHS DECA Alumni, (now MSU students), networking dinner, and Operation Engage!

Our VP’s of Events, Tru and Hallie, along with DECA project members, Kenzie and Kailey, went to Baldwin Heights elementary on the Friday of spirit week to put spirit tattoos on kids who didn’t have any Greenville attire, and read books to the lower elementary! 🐝💜

On the last home varsity football game, DECA held a “Time for Change” drive. We raised a total of $368, which will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Thank you to everyone who donated! 💛💜

This year some of our DECA members partnered with GHS Interact to hand out candy to kids for the annual Trunk or Treat 🎃🍭
