Seven of our students went to the conference in Chicago last week. They were able to compete in several of the marketing competitions and 2 of them came home with 1st place in the Marketing Strategy Competition! We are so proud of them!

Dr. Dunn’s New Venture Creation class students had the privilege of being mentored by Mr. Justin Murphy owner of Your Creative People and Mr. Mike Buiter, former Dean of the School of Business and Entrepreneur as they developed an innovative business model for a new venture. 📊💪🏻📲

This led to a final pitch this week in front of the sharks. What a hands-on way to learn business!

Meet Ali, a Senior Business major, and owner of Ruffle Rewind—a boutique reselling clothes, shoes, and anything you’d need for a wardrobe refresh!👗👚🧣🧥

Ali had to create a business as part of her Entrepreneurship class. Turns out, she became passionate about the project and turned it into a real business!💪🏻🥳

She took the opportunity to sell her items at the annual Student Creators Market! 🎁

Dr. Dunn partnered with a local coffee shop, Sole Espresso Bar, to build a case study for her marketing students to help improve Sole’s marketing. It was a pleasure to have the owner, Giacomo, stop by as well!🇮🇹🤩

The annual Accounting Reception was a success!!

The UBA “Crisis Simulation’ was a hit!!🚨

Students were given a business crisis and three rounds to address the issue and make a plan. They even had guest judges come to give their feedback!
