Congratulations to Kindley Dill and Deacon Hege for punching their tickets to the state wrestling tournament
Come join us at WHHS for Family Fun Fest! We are stationed in the gym!
Congratulations Kindley Dill for placing 4th in the upperstate tournament. In any other year this would have earned him a trip to the state tournament. Unfortunately this is not just any year so they only took top three. I can't say enough how proud I am of this young man and all the hard work he has put in since last season.
Good luck to Kindley and Deacon as they try to qualify for the state tournament today at upperstate.
Congratulations Kindley Dill for placing 2nd at the region tournament and qualifying for upperstate.
Congratulations Jorja Clark for placing 4th at girls State.
Been a strange year so far, that's for sure. We have had to forfeit 4 weight classes all year. Had starters in and out due to Covid quarantine and soooo many changes and precautions. Last night we gutted out a 33 - 30 win against Riverside (30-30 going into last match) to finish third as a team in our region. Way to go Generals. Now on to individuals.
Well we only have 8 available today but we are on our way to the Greenville county tournament
Wrestling begins in Phase 1.5 today. Gym shoes, wrestling shoes and workout clothes. It will look different this year, don't complain just grind.
I want to acknowledge our seniors as they graduate today. Forest Baker, going to Clemson. Jaden Brown, South Carolina. Alisabeth Faircloth, South Carolina. Andrell Terry, Georgia Knights Prep Acadamy. Jacob Bushe Greenville Tech. Jake Liptak, West Point. Jaheim Scott, Erskine. Congratulations to you all. We are very proud of you.
Thinking of my seniors tonight after the news of schools remaining closed for the remainder of the year. I know this is not how you all invisioned the end of your high school careers and my heart goes out to you all. You guys have all made me proud and you will go on to celebrate bigger milestones than this. I love you all and know you will be fine. If you need me for anything you know how to get ahold of me.
