📅 Friday, March 13, 2026 will be an E-Learning Day, so scholars will complete their assignments from home. Be sure to log in, complete your work, and check in with your teachers! 💻✏️

Then it’s time to relax because…

🌷 Spring Break is March 16 – March 20! 🌷

Scholars will return to school Monday, March 23rd, refreshed and ready to finish the school year strong! 💪📚

Sometimes at BEST Skills Academy the job description says teacher… but the role might also include hairstylist, barber, counselor, coach, and hype squad. 😂

This is what “it takes a village” really looks like! Making sure our students are ready for the day from their mindset all the way down to a clean part in their hair. 💇🏾‍♀️

Yesterday, Best Skills Academy was truly honored to welcome Ralph Carter, Broadway actor best known for his role as Michael Evans on Good Times, along with Chad Lawson Cooper actor, director, screenwriter, and founder of the Chad Cooper Company.

These men took time out of their busy schedules to pour wisdom, insight, and encouragement into our scholars.

They didn’t just visit they invested.

Our students had the opportunity to ask questions, hear real stories about discipline and perseverance, and see firsthand what excellence looks like beyond the classroom.

Even more exciting, they personally invited our scholars to attend their upcoming play on March 21 at McAlister Auditorium at Furman University.

Exposure matters.

Representation matters.

Access matters.

Moments like this expand vision.

We are grateful for leaders who understand the power of pouring into the next generation.

Sunshine, smiles, and pizza vibes 🍕☀️

Today was one for the books! The scholars had an amazing time playing outside, enjoying the beautiful weather, and just being kids. There’s nothing like laughter filling the air and watching the scholars enjoy one another.

A very special THANK YOU to one of our awesome community helpers (our maintenance man hero!) for purchasing pizza for the children. Your generosity means more than you know. 🩵

We are so grateful for every donation, every helping hand, and every act of kindness shown to our students. Because of your support, our scholars not only had a fun day outside for their break they were able to come in for lunch and enjoy a delicious pizza together too!

It truly takes a village, and we appreciate ours more than words can say. 💙
