Results from the March 9th SAT indicate that the math section was considerably more difficult than students anticipated. Additionally, although the reading passages were shorter, they were just as if not more difficult than the longer passages.
The take away message for students: Prepare by taking full length mock tests and if you can afford to, sign up for a Test Prep Course. It is tough to improve your GPA or rank as a high school junior ~ but improving your standardized test score can help you “jump over” hundreds of college applicants.

Three tips for high school sophomores as they wrap up the year:
1. Pay attention and ask questions about the curriculum you are choosing for your junior year.
2. Start planning your summer activities now. Use your eight weeks to explore possible majors or careers this summer. You don't have to use your whole summer break, but make sure to pick one or two activities that will help you develop your leadership/research/etc. skills, explore your interests and discover who you are.
3. This summer is a great time to do SAT/ACT Prep. You can be focused and rested vs "cramming" this into your busy school year already filled with academics and extracurricular activities.
