Honoring Freedom Day. π€β€οΈπ
Today, The Greenville Housing Authority joins our community in celebrating Juneteenth. We honor the historic dayβJune 19, 1865βwhen freedom was proclaimed for enslaved Black Americans in Texas, marking a monumental step forward in our nationβs history.
At TGHA, we believe that true freedom and equality go hand-in-hand with housing equity. A safe, stable, and affordable home provides the foundation for families to thrive, build independence, and achieve long-term success. As we celebrate this historic progress, we recommit to breaking down systemic barriers and expanding pathways to opportunity for everyone in our community.
Happy Juneteenth, Greenville! β¨βπΎ

We remember the fallen. We honor their service. And we hold close the sacrifices made by military families across generations. May their courage continue to inspire us to live with purpose and compassion.

This program is off to a great start!
We are proud to share the launch of a new In-Home Childcare Training Cohort led through a partnership between Greenville First Steps, The Greenville Housing Authority, Palmetto Shared Services Alliance, and South Carolina Child Care Resource & Referral.
Through this three-month training program, Greenville Housing Authority residents will receive the education, guidance, and support needed to become licensed family home childcare providers.
By investing in caregivers, weβre helping expand access to quality childcare while creating new opportunities for families right here in our community! We are thankful for the collective effort behind this initiative and the long-term impact it will have on Greenville County families.
