🇵🇭 Today, we celebrated something that makes Berea Middle School truly SPECIAL — the incredible diversity of our BEREA FAMILY!

🇬🇭 Our International Teacher Showcase gave us the opportunity to travel around the world without ever leaving Berea!

🇯🇲 Our amazing international teachers shared the food, traditions, culture, and stories of their home countries, giving our staff a chance to learn, connect, and celebrate what makes each culture unique!

🇰🇪 But today was about so much more than food and traditions.

🫶🏾 It was about UNITY. ACCEPTANCE. APPRECIATION. BELONGING.

💚 It was about recognizing that although we may come from different countries, speak different languages, and have different experiences, our differences make us STRONGER, and our shared commitment to our scholars brings us TOGETHER!

🐶 At Berea, diversity isn't just something we acknowledge — it's something we CELEBRATE!

🙌🏾 A HUGE thank you to our incredible international teachers for sharing a piece of home with us and reminding us that no matter where we come from, we ALL belong at Berea!

📈 Reaching Higher at Greenville County Schools! At Berea Middle, we are celebrating GCS as one of the first school districts in South Carolina to earn the 90-90-90 milestone by surpassing 90% in all three major achievement areas:

✔️ reaching a 92.2% Graduation Rate for the Class of 2026
✔️ 90.5% of the graduating class earning College/Career Ready status
✔️ 98.9% of Greenville County schools rated Excellent, Good, or Average on the State Report Card.

🙌🏾 This is a powerful reflection of the GCS Advantage in action, where there are Stronger Communities, Greater Opportunities!

🚨 THE RESULTS ARE IN, AND BEREA MIDDLE SCHOOL IS MAKING HISTORY!!! 🚨

🔥 Not just improvement. Not just another year of growth. HISTORIC GROWTH!

💪🏿 Our 2025–2026 South Carolina School Report Card is officially here, and we have achieved the HIGHEST REPORT CARD SCORE IN BEREA MIDDLE SCHOOL HISTORY!!!

👩🏽‍🎓 And behind every number is something even more powerful: SCHOLARS who are growing, TEACHERS who refuse to give up, FAMILIES who believe, and a COMMUNITY that continues to show up!

👨🏿‍🎓 At Berea Middle, we don't believe that a child's circumstances determine their future. We don't lower expectations because learning may be challenging. We believe our scholars deserve the same opportunities, the same high expectations, and the same chance at success as ANY child, ANYWHERE!

🫶🏾 And year after year, OUR SCHOLARS ARE PROVING WHAT IS POSSIBLE!

⚠️ IMPORTANT: All Berea Middle scholars MUST be accompanied by an adult and have their Scholar ID Badge to enter.

🇧🇷 CELEBRATING CULTURE, DIVERSITY & LEARNING AT BEREA MIDDLE!

🇲🇽 Our hallways are FILLED with color, culture, and creativity as our AVID Elective scholars celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

🇸🇻 Scholars researched countries, explored their histories, traditions, foods, famous figures, and unique cultural contributions, and transformed their learning into colorful, informative posters that are now proudly displayed throughout our hallways!

🇦🇷 But this project is about so much more than creating posters. It's about researching, learning, appreciating different cultures, and developing a deeper understanding of the diverse world around us!

🫶🏾 At Berea Middle, our diversity is one of our GREATEST strengths! We are proud to be a school where so many cultures, languages, and backgrounds come together as ONE BEREA FAMILY!

💚 Shoutout to our AVID scholars and teachers for bringing learning to life while reminding us that our differences make us unique, but our connections make us stronger!

😂 BUY-OUT DAY = FUN, LAUGHTER & BEREA PRIDE!

💚 What a FUN day to be a Berea Bulldog!

🏐 Today, our scholars who earned Buy-Out Day had the opportunity to choose between Hanging with Friends or attending our highly anticipated STAFF vs. SCHOLARS VOLLEYBALL GAME!

🥰 From the laughter and smiles to the LOUD cheering and friendly competition, our gym was FULL of energy, excitement, and BEREA PRIDE!

👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏾 Sometimes the best school memories aren't made sitting behind a desk. They're made through shared experiences, building relationships, celebrating accomplishments, and simply having FUN together!

💚 We LOVE celebrating our scholars!
💛 We LOVE seeing our staff connect with kids outside the classroom!
💚 And we LOVE creating a school culture where hard work, positive choices, and accountability are celebrated!

🏈 TOUCHDOWN FOR REAL-WORLD MATH!

🤷🏽‍♀️ Who says math only happens inside the classroom?!

📐 Our 8th Grade Math teachers are taking learning OUTSIDE and onto the football field!

🧠 Scholars are putting their math skills to the test by running routes, measuring distances, calculating speed, and exploring the relationship between distance and time!

🫶🏾 Through this hands-on experience, scholars are collecting real data, calculating rates, creating graphs, and connecting the concepts of slope and linear relationships to real-life situations.

💪🏿 This is what learning should look like — engaging, meaningful, rigorous, and connected to the real world!

🎉 Shoutout to our 8th Grade Math team for thinking outside the classroom and creating opportunities for scholars to SEE, EXPERIENCE, and APPLY what they're learning!

💚💛 Happy Instructional Coaches Day to our very own Ms. K! 💛💚

🐶 Ms. Klumpe is Berea through and through! Her love for our scholars, our staff, and our school is evident in everything she does.

🥰 Whether she’s collaborating with teachers, supporting PLCs, co-teaching in classrooms, digging into data, sharing resources, or helping us strengthen instruction, Ms. K is always willing to jump in wherever she is needed.

🧠 Her knowledge, organization, and commitment to helping both teachers and scholars grow make her an invaluable part of the Berea Family.

🫶🏾 Today, we celebrate the person who spends so much of her time helping everyone else get better.
