📚🏺 Ancient Civilizations came to life in 6th grade this week!

Students put their learning into action by becoming real estate agents for the ancient world! Working in groups, they researched different ancient civilizations and created persuasive sales pitches explaining why their location would be the best place to “buy” land. 🏡🌎

What a fun and creative way to showcase their learning while building research, collaboration, and presentation skills!

🌟 Super Citizen Spotlight! 👮🏽‍♂️⭐

Today, our second graders were excited to welcome Officer Turner, our School Resource Officer, to our classroom! Officer Turner talked with our students about being responsible, respectful, safe, and helpful members of our community at home and school.

A special thank you to Officer Turner for spending time with our second graders, answering their questions, and helping bring our learning to life! We are grateful to have him as part of our school family and for the positive example he sets for our students. 💙📚👮🏽‍♂️

Our second graders are learning that everyone can be a Super Citizen! They can, in fact, be a Leader at school, at home, and in the community! 🌟

🌱🥔 We have the BEST community partners! 💚

This past week, our friends at Martin’s Nursery donated organic compost to help us plant our next crop in the Lead Academy garden! Then, CHEF360 took our freshly harvested sweet potatoes and turned them into an AMAZING casserole for the whole school to sample. 😋

We love seeing our garden go from seed → harvest → delicious meal! What a wonderful way to connect students to where their food comes from—and share the harvest with our entire Lead community!

A huge THANK YOU to Martin’s Nursery and Chef 360 for helping our garden—and our students—grow! 🌱💚

These incredible educators work tirelessly to meet the individual needs of every student, from general education push-in services to our self-contained classes for students with developmental delays. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment make such a difference in the lives of our students and families every single day.
