Individuals with a high level of openness have a greater propensity for new ideas and divergent thinking. They are usually more imaginative than their peers and more adaptable to change and conflict.
Research also shows that highly creative people are more open to new and different perspectives as well as more empathetic with the experiences of others. Conversely, individuals who score lower in openness on personality assessments are generally more closed-off, resistant to change, and less comfortable with professional and personal growth.
