It may have been a little wet Wednesday, but it was still a great day to honor our archery team for their accomplishments!! 7 wins and runner-up at the state competition with a wonderfu showing at nationals. We are so proud of our kids and thankful to Mrs. McGill for her hard work and dedication to the team. Thank you to all the families, community members, and supporters who came out to cheer the kids on as they road in the fire trucks. A big thank you to our first responders for answering the call to make this day special for our archers. LES would also like to thank Mrs. Haley for her work to organize the parade!! What an awesome way to recognize an awesome season!!l

This week has been a busy week! On Monday, May 18 we had our first Longest Elementary talent show. 12 acts had the courage to get on stage and showcase some amazing talent! We want to thank Kellie Parson and Sharley Davis for organizing this event.

A special shoutout to our emcees Tinslee Drake, Hattie Sharp & Luna Stanley and our comedian emcee Asher Smith for helping announce the acts.

🥉 Third Place went to comedy skit “Talent Show Gone Wrong, Again” by Finley Peveler, Gracie Fraze, & Brylee Sheriff

🥈 Second Place went to Alexis Daniel & Kaylan Woodall singing “Baby” by Justin Bieber

🥇 First Place went to Donna Borreggine singing “I Told You So” by Carrie Underwood.

We would like to give a special thank you to our judges. We would also like to give a shout out to the LES teachers who participated in the intermission act of singing/flash mob dancing!

We are so excited to celebrate our archery team tomorrow! Parents, grandparents, supporters, sponsors, and community members are all invited to join us as we honor the incredible accomplishments of our student archers and celebrate an amazing season.

To help keep the front of the school clear for the parade, we ask that all supporters please park in the designated parking areas noted on the map.

In the event of rain tomorrow morning, the celebration will be moved indoors. We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone!

Reminder for our archers: Please wear your team jerseys, and you are encouraged to wear any medals you have earned throughout the season as we celebrate your incredible accomplishments and hard work!
