Beck Academy Middle

As we get ready to close out another school year, Beck Academy would like to recognize Mrs. Green and the tremendous impact she has had on our school. After serving Greenville County Schools for 28 years, she is officially retired!

Mrs. Green has always had the rare ability to balance high expectations with genuine compassion. As an assistant principal, she has been both a steady disciplinarian and a caring supporter, always leading with fairness, patience, and heart. She believes deeply in students, cheers them on through every success, and helps guide them through challenges with grace and understanding. Her impact on our school community will be lasting, and she will be greatly missed as she begins this well-deserved retirement.

We had a great time celebrating our staff members at the Salute to Education banquet. Mrs Hughes was recognized as SCAMLE Region Teacher to Watch. Mrs Silver was recognized as the Best Buddies State Spirt Award recipient. Beck Academy was recognized for our Schools To Watch Redesignation as well as the Top Middle School Fundraising Team.

6th grader Avery Mitchell will be representing Beck Academy this weekend at the National Geography Bee and the National History Bee. He will be competing at the 2026 Middle and Elementary School National Championships in Orlando along with several thousand kids from across the country.

Avery qualified for the Nationals by winning the Columbia regional for History and Geography back in February.

I can hardly believe that it is already the last week of school! We are excited to celebrate our students and all their hard work! Thank you to our students, staff, and parents for another amazing year! We hope everyone has a great summer!

Our Beck Academy crew showed up for the Friendship Walk with so much energy, love, and excitement. Watching our students celebrate inclusion together is incredible. This is what it’s all about.

To our students, families, and supporters… thank you for believing in this mission and for showing up in such a big way. You are changing lives, building friendships, and creating a community where everyone belongs.

State Testing begins Tuesday! Please be sure that your child arrives at school before 8:30, with a FULLY CHARGED CHROMEBOOK!

Please remind your child to work hard and do their best! These tests provide students with an opportunity to showcase the skills they have mastered and can be used to determine class placement.

Testing this week will be on Tuesday and Wednesday.
