Butler County Schools are raising the bar for ACT scores! McKenzie School ranks at the top for percentage-point increase from 2024-25 to 2025-26 in ELA and second in Math proficiency. Georgiana School was also in the top 30 for ELA percentage-point increase from the prior year.

Statewide, the percentage of students scoring proficient in English rose from 30.3% to 33.8%, and math increased from 23.9% to 27.5%.

ALSDE has released the Spring 2026 Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program (ACAP) results. BCSS showed one of the largest gains in the state in English language arts with 51.1% proficient, up from 41.6% last year – a 9.5 percentage-point increase.
