The tour of the current GHS facility was incredible too!

In spite of COVID-19 disruptions in our lives,
we have been meeting regularly and our mission remains clear - to have a World Class 50th reunion !!

In that regard, we recently made a decision
to change our reunion date, backing it up approximately 7 months to allow time
for a more COVID - safe environment,
including broad-based vaccinations.

The NEW DATE is FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3rd, 2021 !!

When we started the reunion planning process,
our #1 goal was to have great attendance ...

Greenville Senior High School Class of 1970 Reunion Please join your fellow GHS Class of '70 graduates on September 3rd, as we celebrate our 50-year reunion in downtown Greenville!

Today is Tuesday, July 14, 2020 .
An email from Carol Perrin Cobb was sent today.
This post is for those who are not on her email list.

"To our GHS 50th Reunion Team members, 35+ volunteers & Classmates, et al.

We have confirmation of contact information for 226 of our classmates, but are still lacking confirmation (or any information, in some cases) on 242 of our classmates. You will find the list of the 242 "missing" attached to this email. (note: if you've not received her email, then go to [email protected]) & she'll add you to her contacts, so that you'll receive all future info). Please HELP make another effort to find the "unconfirmed/missing contact information" for the 242 folks on the list.

You will see that a few names on here that appear to have correct information. However, she has not received confirmation DIRECTLY from the person, or has some reason to question the info. Please, just reach out to those people & confirm the contact info with them. If they are contacted more than once, so much the better, as this way, they'll know we want them to join us!

The info on each person is as up-to-date as we have. Some (you'll find) still dates back to high school !!! The notation of an "X" after the class year (1970-X) indicates that this person was in our class at some point, but did not graduate with us. We'd LOVE to include ALL of our folks, if we can find them.

Please confirm those marked as "Deceased" with a Death Date, if you can locate one. We are using Obits and any death dates from family members, friends, tombstones, etc. as confirmation that the person is indeed, deceased.

We are asking for help from all you folks that have either regularly or sporadically come to team planning meetings, as well as those of you whom have expressed an interest in helping. If we all pitch in, we may be able to locate EVERYONE - one way or another! A class a few years ago was able to locate all but a dozen or so of their classmates for their 50th. That's a high bar - but we can do it, too!

Please report back to Carol Perrin Cobb (via facebook or email [email protected]) with whom you can find from this list no later that Saturday, July 25th ( a little less than 2 weeks away).

At that point, she will compile what has been found out & then begin sending each of you a few random names at a time to thoroughly research, in your effort to help find their contact info.

"Hello, GHS Red Raiders of 1970, from your reunion committee!

After much thought & deliberation, we have rescheduled our reunion celebration for Saturday, March 27, 2021. Zen/Downtown Greenville will still be our venue & everything else will remain the same. Your reservations/tickets are still good.

One of the positive benefits of this delay is the ability to locate more of our classmates. We need your help in this regard.
