Memory from the local news’ coverage of the solar eclipse six years ago. I’m sure neither Nate nor I would have predicted that this year he would be sitting in my former office getting ready to start his teaching career! So excited to have him share his professional knowledge and experiences with the journalism students at BJU.

Grad and long-time friend of our department, Stuart Epperson, passed away today. He was the co-founder of Salem Communications (Salem Media Group). He left a great legacy!

Welcome our newest summer intern, Jo Huebscher from Bob Jones University! WYFF News 4’s Gabrielle Komorowski and I so enjoyed studio time with her today!

Please be in prayer for the family of Brian Mullen. Brian was a grad of our department and a faithful friend and supporter. He has impacted so many lives and will be missed! We are thankful to know he is with his Savior, but the loss on earth is very real.

The Collegian Staff Wins 2023 South Carolina Press Association Awards The South Carolina Press Association (SCPA) recognized staff members of Bob Jones University’s student newspaper, The Collegian, with multiple awards at its annual awards ceremony.

So glad to have Ian D**e (2019 BJU grad and former Collegian editor) in Intro to PR class today! He was able to share what life after graduation is like in the fields of journalism, communication and PR. Currently serving as a government affairs and advocacy specialist with World Vision, Ian has also interned in NASA’s newsroom and worked as a public relations specialist for South Carolina’s organ donation program. He helped our students think broadly about the variety of job options in the field of multimedia journalism! Thanks, @ian__hunter
