💚💙 A RECORD YEAR AT J.H. ROSE! 🎉📈

The 2025–2026 school performance data is in, and Rampant Nation has so much to celebrate!

🏆 A HISTORIC HIGH FOR J.H. ROSE!
We made history! Rose earned an overall performance score of 76—the highest in school history! That represents a 7-point increase from last year and moves Rose from a C to a B School Performance Grade!

🎯 Achievement is on the Rise
Our achievement score jumped 8.2 points—from 65.5 to 73.7, demonstrating significant progress in student academic performance.

📈 EXCEEDED GROWTH
Our students didn’t just meet growth expectations—they EXCEEDED GROWTH! Rose’s growth score increased from 82.1 to 87.6, reflecting the tremendous work of our students, teachers, and staff.

🚀 Highest Academic Growth Since 2023
Rose recorded its highest and most significant academic growth since 2023—a powerful sign of the momentum building across our school.

📚 More Students Reaching Proficiency
Overall grade-level proficiency jumped 7.5 percentage points—from 54.8% to 62.3%. And in NC Math 1, proficiency increased by more than 20 percentage points!

🎓 More Rampants Graduating
Our 4-year graduation rate climbed 5.4 percentage points—from 78.3% to 83.7%, another important measure of the progress happening at Rose.

⭐ Excellence in Advanced Coursework
Our Rampants are excelling in college-level coursework, too! 77% of Rose AP students earned a score of 3 or higher on their AP exams—the highest AP success rate shown in the past seven years!

These results are about so much more than numbers. They represent students who grew, achieved, persevered, challenged themselves, and graduated. They represent teachers and staff who challenged, supported, and believed in our students. They represent families and a community who continue to partner with us in pursuit of excellence.

We are incredibly proud of what was accomplished during the 2025–2026 school year—and even more excited about where we’re headed next.

The momentum is real. The achievement is rising. The growth is real. And Rose is rising!

ALL schedule change requests must be submitted using the Google Form below:

Schedule change requests will NOT be accepted via email. Emails requesting schedule changes will not be reviewed or processed. The Google Form is the only method for submitting a schedule change request.

Students with approved or administrative schedule changes will receive their updated schedules Monday before 1st period.

Please keep in mind that we will continue reviewing schedule change requests throughout the first 5 days of school. Requests take time to review, and changes must be considered based on school guidelines, graduation requirements, prerequisites, and course availability. Please be patient as we work through the requests.

Submitting the form does not guarantee that a schedule change will be made.

Schedule changes will ONLY be considered for the following reasons:
Seniors requesting to drop a non-required course.
Juniors or seniors with PCC classes.
Students who do not meet the prerequisite for a scheduled course.
Students with an incomplete schedule (missing a class).
Students scheduled for a course for which they have already received credit.
Students requesting to increase the rigor of their schedule.
Students scheduled for a course they have previously passed.
If you have already submitted the Google Form, please do not submit duplicate requests or email to check the status of your request. We are actively reviewing submissions and will address them as quickly as possible.

🚗 2026–2027 Student Parking Permits 🚗

Parking registration opens August 1st for all licensed student drivers at J.H. Rose High School!

💵 Parking Permit Cost: $50
📚 Students must also pay their $25 Instructional Fee.
🎓 Seniors must also pay their $20 Senior Fee.

🪪 Permit Pick-Up Dates & Times (Front Office, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM). No appointment necessary

Seniors – Tuesday, August 4
Juniors – Wednesday, August 5
All Grades – Thursday, August 6

📄 What to bring when picking up your permit:
Your North Carolina driver's license (copies will be kept on file)
Your current vehicle registration (copies will be kept on file)

🅿️ Parking spots are assigned based on availability and class schedule.
🚦 Students enrolled in off-campus courses (e.g., PCC, Allied Health) will be assigned to the front East Lot #1.
