This morning Daniel Nelson, pastor of Waterville Baptist Church in Waterville, NY, made a presentation of his ThM thesis. It’s entitled “A Literary Analysis of Ecclesiastes Based upon Its Elements of Time, Space, and Character” and was supervised by Dr. Brian Hand. Congratulations, Pastor Nelson, on your graduation, and best wishes as you move on to the PhD!

This past week, we held our Spring Theological Research Symposium. This symposium featured 2 papers. Nobuyori Yoshimoto presented a paper entitled "The Old Testament's Theology of Loneliness." Dr. Jeff Kelly, director of BJU's Student Care Office, gave the response.
BJU Seminary graduate Cameron Po***ck, pastor of Community Baptist Church in Greer, SC, presented a paper entitled "How Preachers Hear the Word: Doctrine, Doxology, and Devotion in the Process of Preaching." The paper is based on Cameron's DMin Applied Research Project at Westminster Theological Seminary. Dr. Kerry McGonigal, professor in BJU's School of Theology and Global Leadership, gave the response.

Today, James Andy Streit successfully defended his Doctor of Ministry dissertation entitled, “A Biblical Philosophy of Local Church Partnership with Parachurch Ministries: Implications for the Nationalization of Baptist Mid-Missions Training Institutions.” The Chairman of his committee was Dr. Billy Gotcher, and Dr. Ken Casillas also served on his committee. Congratulations, Dr. Streit, on this great accomplishment!

This week Richard L. Lennox successfully defended his Doctor of Ministry dissertation entitled, “The Need for the Implementation of Biblical Soul Care Culture in the Church Revitalization Process.” The Chairman of his committee was Dr. Stuart Scott, and Dr. Greg Mazak also served on his committee. Congratulations, Dr. Lennox, on this great accomplishment!
