Way to go, Abishree! 🎉🐎

We are excited to celebrate an incredible achievement by one of our students!

This summer, Abishree Ghana has been selected to attend a prestigious program through the Sandra Day O’Connor Institute for American Democracy—a highly competitive, merit-based institute focused on leadership and civic engagement.

Each year, students from across the country apply, and only around 100 students nationwide are chosen to participate. This honor reflects not only academic excellence, but also strong character, leadership potential, and a commitment to learning about our nation and community.

During the program, Abishree will take part in an immersive, hands-on experience where she will explore how our government works, engage in real-world simulations, and interact with civic leaders. The institute is designed to inspire the next generation of informed, active citizens and future leaders.

We are so proud of Abishree for earning this outstanding opportunity and representing our school at the national level!

Another impressive Langston student! 🎉🐎

On April 2-3, Nicholas Poole (7th grade) attended the Model United Nations Conference at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly Conference Center in Black Mountain, NC. He joined middle schoolers from across the state to learn about a country and represent that country in the conference. The students made a Festival of Nations board, learned about food and culture from their country and wrote a proposal about an issue facing that country. Nicholas' group represented the country of Greece and won the award for Outstanding Festival of Nations.

Way to go, Nicholas! 🎉🐎

Wow! Check out this Charger! 🐎🎉

We are so proud of David Lim for his participation in a symphony at Carnegie Hall! David is the ONLY middle schooler who qualified in his symphony orchestra. He is the youngest musician in his orchestra who made it to Carnegie Hall.

Way to go, David!
