******Quarterly Meeting Update******
The first quarterly meeting of the year will be held on February 6 at 10am.

The meeting will be hosted by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office at the OCSO Training Center located at 789 Luther Midgett Dr. Jacksonville, NC 28546. Come take a tour of the firing range, shoot house and facilities.

We will also be working to finalize conference details for the August annual conference in Emerald Isle.

2026 Annual Training Conference Update

We are excited to announce that the 2026 Annual Training Conference will return to the wonderful Islander Hotel and Resort in Emerald Isle. Mark your calendars for August 25-28, 2026.

For anyone needing updated contact information, this will be helpful! Mike McAvoy retired from G***k and now Todd Brown is the point of contact for N.C. He can be reached via email at [email protected]. Who ever handles agency fi****ms, if G***k is used, they more than likely don’t have the new point of contact. This information is also beneficial to firearm instructors/armorers.

Our final day of the conference has begun. Chief Parker, Black Mountain PD is closing the conference with a presentation providing incite into the aftermath of hurricane Helene and lessons learned.

Yesterday, we had presentations on the use of AI technology in the training environment and a presentation on creating and evaluating reality based training. At the end of the day the association members and their families enjoyed fellowship together with a wonderful meal at the Daniel Boone Inn.

Our afternoon session has kicked off with Eddy Summers providing training on Supervising a Critical Incident.

David McDonald, Raliegh PD retired is our first topic on the agenda this morning. McDonald has prepared an interactive training session with group activities with a focus on critical thinking and planning for tactical situations!!!

Join us for our next quarterly business meeting and the 40th Annual Peace Officers Memorial. The memorial will being at 10am and be held at Multiply Baptist Church 280 Concord Pkwy S Unit 5 in Concord.

The business meeting will immediately follow at the Speedway Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway 5555 Concord Pkwy S in Concord.
