The Coalition is about giving our seniors opportunities to LEAD! From public speaking and presenting before an audience to learning how to give instructions, facilitate meetings, work together, and confidently use their voices.

We are highly impressed with the Class of 2027 and the way these seniors are coming together!

CLASS OF 2027 COALITION — TAKE OVER!

The Promise is EXCITED about the leadership developing within our Class of 2027 Senior Leadership Coalition!

Leadership Skill Task:
CREATE & WORK TOGETHER!

Our Coalition Ambassadors put their creativity and teamwork into action and came up with their own Recruitment Video for Seniors!

They did an EXCELLENT job! 👏🏽🎥

📣 On August 30th a Virtual Zoom Call will be held for those seniors who are interested in becoming a part of the Coalition.

The Class of 2027 “Take Over” Coalition was organized in Summer 2026 to connect, support, and empower seniors across the Mississippi Delta.

Our seniors are resilient, talented, and capable—they simply need positive leaders, resources, opportunities, and guidance.

WHY WAS IT CREATED?
The vision began with my daughter and a desire to create a FUN, memorable, engaged, and purposeful senior year!

The Promise on the MDCC Greenville Campus with our campers and boy did they Enjoy every moment it🌈

What an unforgettable week with our amazing campers! Thank you, Mississippi Delta Community College (MDCC), for your partnership in helping make The Promise Creative Arts & Literacy Summer Camp such a success.

Our campers had an incredible time learning, creating, growing, and having fun. The greatest compliment of all? They kept asking for a longer camp and longer days!

This is what happens when a community believes in its children. Thank you to EVERYONE who made our camp a success
