Greenville Technical College 50th Anniversary In 1960, then Governor Ernest Hollings initiated an effort to establish a technical education system in the state as a way to train workers for business and industry.

We're so proud of Lynn Angermeier, a student in the Radiologic Technology program at Greenville Technical College, who was selected to participate in the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) 2011 Student Initiative Program.

The 2011 President's Award went to Meredith Wood, who enrolled in the Respiratory Care Program after working for years in bookkeeping, marketing and purchasing. She graduated with a 3.936 GPA and was also a Dean's List recipient. Go Meredith!

We're so thankful for all of our students at Greenville Technical College, so this month we want to feature some that we believe you'll agree are pretty outstanding. Jovanna Weaver, a dental assisting student, was named a recipient of the Juliette Southard/ Oral-B Scholarship in 2011.

We think ten years of exceptional service in education to physicians and practice staff at a national level is a big deal. That's why we're so happy for Angie Brown, Department Head for Indirect Patient Care, who was honored by the Practice Management Institute.

Our Vice President of Finance, Jacqui DiMaggio, has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the college’s comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).
