Hot Havana Nights Supports Life-Saving Services for Local Survivors
Women In Need, Inc. (WIN) invites the community to enjoy an evening of dinner, dancing, entertainment, and generosity at its annual Hot Havana Nights fundraiser on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Caddo Creek Venue, located at 3648 County Road 2132 in Greenville.
Hot Havana Nights is WIN’s signature fundraising event for Hunt County. This year’s event will feature dinner, drinks, an auctioneer, a DJ, a photo booth, fire performers, and live and silent auctions. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a lively evening while making a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors throughout Hunt, Rockwall, and Rains Counties.
Proceeds from Hot Havana Nights directly support WIN’s life-saving services for individuals and families affected by domestic violence. WIN provides emergency shelter, a 24/7 crisis hotline, legal advocacy, non-residential advocacy, safety planning, support groups, children’s services, a food pantry, transportation assistance, case management, and connections to additional community resources.
The need for these services remains significant. In 2025, WIN provided 13,865 total services to 585 non-duplicated clients. A total of 141 clients stayed in WIN’s emergency shelter, resulting in 3,438 bed nights, and 51 children received services.
All WIN services are provided at no cost to survivors. The organization serves women, men, and children and works closely with law enforcement, courts, schools, healthcare providers, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and other community partners to ensure survivors receive coordinated and compassionate support.
Community networking groups, such as Drug Free Greenville, play an important role in strengthening connections between local agencies. When organizations understand the services available throughout the community, they are better prepared to make appropriate referrals, address overlapping needs, and help individuals access assistance more quickly.
Hot Havana Nights is more than an evening of entertainment. It is an opportunity for local residents, businesses, and community leaders to stand with survivors and invest in safer families and communities.
