Good evening, Parents and Friends of Falkland! This is Diana Denham, principal, with your weekly announcements:
The last day of school will be Wednesday, June 10th. This will also be an early release day, with student dismissal at 11:30 a.m. We would like to thank our Bearcub families for a wonderful school year and wish everyone a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer vacation. We look forward to seeing our students back in the fall, refreshed and ready for another great year!
Report cards will be sent home with students on the last day of school, Wednesday, June 10th. If your child is not at school on the last day, their report card may be picked up in the main office beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday and will remain available for pickup throughout the summer.
End-of-year ceremonies and awards days are scheduled for Monday, June 8 and Tuesday, June 9. We look forward to celebrating all of our students and the many achievements of this school year!

Kindergarten Ceremony - 8:30 AM
5th Grade Ceremony - 10:30 AM
Please note: The 5th grade ceremony is a ticketed event. You must have a ticket to attend.

1st & 2nd Grade Awards - 8:30 AM
3rd & 4th Grade Awards - 10:30 AM

Teachers and students have been working hard, leading up to End-of-Grade testing! 5th grade students will take the Science EOG and our 4th grade students will be taking a district assessment for science on Tuesday, June 2. Students who are not yet proficient will be given the opportunity to participate in remediation and then have the opportunity to retest this week.
Reminder from the Library
All library books were due by Friday, May 22! Please take a few minutes to look around at home, in backpacks, bedrooms, cars, and anywhere books may be hiding so they can be returned to school. Thank you for helping us get all library books turned in before the end of the school year!

Monday, May 25th is a holiday in observance of Memorial Day. There will be no school for students or staff. We look forward to welcoming our students back on Tuesday, May 26th. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!
Reminder from the Library
All library books were due by Friday, May 22! Please take a few minutes to look around at home, in backpacks, bedrooms, cars, and anywhere books may be hiding so they can be returned to school. Thank you for helping us get all library books turned in before the end of the school year!
Teachers and students have been working hard these last couple of weeks leading up to End-of-Grade testing! We are so proud of the dedication and effort our Bearcubs are showing each day. Our students in grades 3-5 will begin EOG testing on Thursday, May 28 with the Reading EOG. The Math EOG will be on Friday, May 29, and our 5th grade students will take the Science EOG and our 4th grade students will be taking a district assessment for science on Tuesday, June 2. Students who are not yet proficient will be given the opportunity to participate in remediation and then have the opportunity to retest. Retesting will take place during the last week of school, and more information will be shared soon.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Family Night at the Fair! Don't forget that tomorrow is the LAST day for our Book Fair! We have Lunch with a Loved One tomorrow as well for one last chance to come and shop with your child. We are 89% of the way to meeting our sales goal!
