Hi Fourth Graders and 4th Grade Parents!
The deadline for submitting your cabbage photos is this Friday, September 14,2018. Some of you have already photographed, measured and weighed your giant cabbage plants and sent the photos to Mrs. Bremby. If you haven’t and you are planning to enter your fine cabbage, now is the time to do it!
This will allow me time to choose the winner so that I can enter the largest and healthiest looking cabbage from each class, into the Bonnie cabbage contest. I am only able to send one entry per classroom. Remember to send the photo as a jpg file only to : [email protected]
You can name the cabbage and stage a creative photo to show how big and beautiful your cabbage is.
Reminder: Be sure to wear school appropriate clothing in the photo, no swimsuits.
Include the weight and leaf span as well as student full name, address, birthdate along with parents full name, parent email, address of parent if different from your child and a phone number.
I am looking forward to seeing the final pictures! -Mrs. Bremby

We were lucky enough during our volunteer time today to run into now 3rd grader Netra Arora and her grandfather, an award winning Horticulturist from India visiting the U.S. for the very first time. They happily helped us w**d , water, and plant and he helped us identify plants versus w**ds.
For my student I was a little confused on the STAR reading test results... This page explains all the columns.

Had a great time making Stone Soup with our 4th grade buddies!

09/07/2019

We had a great day making and eating Stone Soup! Most of our ingredients came fresh from our garden, and some came from our students family gardens as well! We are looking forward to more fun with our kindergarten buddies soon!

We look forward to Stone Soup day each year. The 4th grade students bring the kindergarten students out to the school garden to pick produce. They clean, cut, and cook the veggies. Throughout the day we begin to smell the delicious soup cooking in the crock pots. Here are pictures of the students harvesting the garden. THANKS to Mike Malone, David Heth and Janet Wulf-Marvin for creating, maintaining, and bringing excitement to the life skill of gardening.

It was a somber, yet exciting day in 4th grade today. We had funerals in each of our homerooms for our old friend “can’t”. He always held us back and allowed us to quit. No more! Some students gave eloquent eulogies as we said our final goodbyes to this word from our vocabulary. Feel free to ask them more about it!
