It is with sadness that we let you know of the passing of our classmate Mark Truono.

For those of us that made the last reunion, having one of the special glasses he made for us has even more meaning.

Obituary
Mark A. Truono, beloved father, husband, brother and friend to all, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday July 5, 2022. His passing is a loss to all that knew him. Mark was a man of great kindness, generosity and love. Mark will be sorely missed by his wife Terri (Sisson) and his amazing children, Bella & Nicholas.

After graduating from AI DuPont High School in 1981 Mark found his calling in creating. He was blessed to work with his cousin Joey, mastering all areas of building & construction. He went on to own TruMark Construction and Springfield Lane. Trumark, his construction business delivered honesty and perfection on all projects. Springfield Lane gave him creative freedom with his laser and engraving business. Mark found great joy in both, as he did with everything in life.

Mark’s loves and passions were many including Cooper, all Philadelphia sports, especially the Eagles and Phillies. Cooking for his family and friends gave him so much joy. Mark made each meal with love whether it was Terri’s morning omelet, his famous crab dip & sausage balls for all occasions, Nicholas’ mac-n-cheese tacos or Bella’s favorite - salmon bites. Mark always added or changed an ingredient so no one could make it the same way he did.

Mark was born to Dolores Rose Russo and Eugene J. Truono in May of 1963. He was the fifth of seven Truono children. Mark leaves behind all six siblings who will miss his generosity & Switzerland attitude. Steve (Leslie), Gene (Luis), Pat Ochonicki (Randy, deceased) Chris Joyce (Jack), Dan (Pie), Tina Cawley (Michael). Uncle Mark leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother-in- law.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing at St. Joseph’s on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road, Wilmington, DE, on Monday July 11th from 4:30-6:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Tuesday July 12th, at 10:00am, also at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church. Interment will follow Mass in the Church Cemetery.

On behalf of Lisa Ingham Nalley, Lori Soden DeLoache and Bob Older thank you all for coming out to the 40th.

We wanted to thank Jeanne Kuespert Roberts who had the original idea that we all modified and used for this year’s reunion. I think it worked out for everyone. Also thanks to Mark Truono for the glasses.

Stewart of Ramsey's Farm is have a special event for us on Saturday Nov 27th 4 to 10 pm for a “pot-luck” fun evening. Feel free to bring something to share but it is not a requirement.
If you want details, send us a message or post here. Come out and share with other classmates.

Speaking of other classmates. Any idea how difficult it is to reach out to everyone 40 years later? We need your help. Can you all send us or post here names, emails and phone numbers of anyone and everyone you have on your lists of classmates so we can try and update our list for future events. Any contact info you all can give us will be greatly appreciated.

I posted pictures on the AI Class of 81 FB page if anyone is interested.

Thank you all again, it was great to see you and maybe we will see you and others on Nov 27th
