My book is coming…
I once was told that if I was going to be a good teacher, I also had to write. That stayed with me. After years of teaching entrepreneurs in classrooms, churches, and boardrooms, I’ve finally written the book that’s been on my heart for us—Sovereign Success. This book is for every dreamer and business owner who believes there’s more in them and more for their community.
I believe that the ability to build thriving businesses is a God-given gift—one He will honor when we use it to bless others. So many side hustles in our communities are actually powerful businesses in disguise. With just a few key principles, they can grow into companies that change lives—starting with the owner and reaching everyone who’s employed, served, or inspired by the work. Sovereign Success is my way of expanding the classroom to the community and giving our people the tools to build, grow, and own their future. It’s an easy read filled with relatable examples. It’s finally complete and delivered to the publisher. Stay tuned—it’s coming.

Thank you D25!!!
Tonight, I am deeply honored to stand before you as the re-elected Representative for South Carolina District 25. To every voter who placed their trust in me, thank you. This victory belongs not only to me but to all of us who believe in a brighter future for our district and state. Your voices were heard, and I’m committed to making sure they continue to make a difference in Columbia.
Throughout this campaign, we focused on improving education, making housing more affordable, and providing better access to good jobs. These aren’t just promises—they’re the goals that will guide my work moving forward. To everyone who volunteered, supported, or encouraged us, thank you. Your hard work made this victory possible, and we showed that real change happens when we stand together.
As we look to the future, I promise to serve with honesty, compassion, and a strong commitment to progress. Let’s keep building a District 25 that works for everyone. Thank you.

My youngest came home from college last night so that he could vote. I heard him scrambling around early this morning because he wanted to be there when the polls opened. I met him as he was coming back into the house this morning. He’s a quiet young man, respectful, great sense of humor. He smiled at me and said, “I voted for you Daddy. That was pretty cool.” For those of you who don’t know, that last statement is one of the highest compliments you can receive from his generation. Lol! They’ve always made me proud but to know that they are proud of me too…my day is off to a great start.
Don’t let the rain discourage you. This is too important. VOTE BLUE!!!

PSA! Jobs!
Koops Automation Systems’ recent $10.2 million expansion brings 26 new job opportunities to Greenville County, just outside District 25. While the facility isn’t within the district, this growth reflects the area’s strong business climate and offers new, skilled positions in automation. Roles likely include engineering, skilled trades, and management, with typical wages for such positions generally ranging from $21 per hour for technicians to higher salaries for engineers and specialized roles.
If you’re interested in joining Koops, check out their careers page. This development supports our vision for creating high-quality jobs in the Upstate that can help raise household incomes across the region.

As our community continues to recover from Hurricane Helene, we want to share some valuable resources, updates, and extend our gratitude for the support we’ve seen so far.
RESOURCES AFTER HELENE
If you or someone you know needs non-emergency assistance, dial 2-1-1 or text “HELP” or “AYUDA” to 211-211. The United Way of Greenville County offers an up-to-date resources database with available support, including food, housing, legal aid, financial assistance, upcoming events, and more.
FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (Freetown Community Center) is also here to support our community. This temporary office assists with application processes, answers questions about applications, and connects you to further help as needed.
Let’s keep looking out for one another on this road to recovery!

I enjoyed sharing the stage tonight with state senate candidate Octavia M Amaechi as we discussed women’s healthcare and Project 2025. She will be a wonderful addition to the general assembly bringing her expertise as a practicing physician. Thank you to the Urban League of the Upstate and Coupe’s Corner for hosting us.
