Sometimes “school” just means the chance to acquire life skills. Skills, like the best way to use scissors, concocting new and creative hairstyles, maintaining your cool with a crying baby, or figuring out how to make blueberry pancakes for breakfast, are all valuable skills. But only one of those skills would typically make it into a classroom setting.

School is getting rather scary today. 😉

This week we headed up to the Y's Camp Greenville and soaked in the beauty of God's world. From square dancing to camp fire stories and smores to a night hike out to to watching the sunrise over the city to zip lining to rock climbing to art projects to an inflatable starlab, our "school" day was FULL. And I don't mean "full" as in, "I can't take one more thing on my plate kind of full but "full" as in, "I'm thankful to be alive" kind of full.

It's hard to believe, but this is the first year we've ever owned a membership to the zoo. Anyone want to join us on our next visit? :)

at the was a real treat for us today! There are shows through September 1st, so you still have time to get tickets ($7.50 each). Perfect for elementary school kids and preschoolers, but I enjoyed it just as much as the kids! So good.
